Etymology
[edit]From bahag (“loincloth”) + hari (“king”). However, according to Wolff (1976), the latter component is from Malay hari (“day”),[1] whereas for Potet (2016), the latter comes from Sanskrit हरि (hari, “the sun”).[2] Compare Remontado Agta balaghadi and Kapampangan pinanari.
